Fairfield Family Care is offering a FREE new service called CHECK-UP™

Anyone who lives alone can fall, become ill, or have something go wrong in the house when no one is around to help. Family and friends are often busy and they do not always remember or have time to check in daily.

Now, Fairfield Family Care will provide a daily “safety check” phone call…. and give peace of mind to seniors who live alone. Family, friends and neighbors will have confidence in knowing that their loved ones are safe.

CHECK-UP™ also provides seniors much needed daily socialization and telephone reassurance so they know that they are “not alone.”

HERE IS HOW IT WORKS…

  • Fairfield Family Care will call once each day.
  • If there is no answer, we will wait 15 minutes and call again.
  • If still no answer, a third attempt will be made.
  • If we do not get an answer after the third attempt, we will call the person listed as the emergency contact or neighbor.

How do I get started?

Do I need to be one of your clients?

No. This service is free for anyone.

How long does this service last?

Depending on your needs, the service may be temporary (i.e. – if you are traveling or if someone is recovering from surgery or an illness) or it may continue until you ask us to discontinue the service.

Do I need to be referred by a physician?

No.  Individuals may refer themselves, or they may be referred by a caregiver, family member, neighbor, a medical professional, social worker or other service provider.

How much does it cost?

Nothing – there is no charge for the “check up” – yes, that’s right, it’s FREE!

What do we talk about?

You may establish a pre-arranged dialogue, such as a reminder to take prescription medication, or you may wish to simply have a contact to the outside world.  The nature of the calls is up to you!

What time do you call?

Calls may be made anytime between 8am and 5pm from Monday through Friday

What if I don’t answer?

Our staff will allow the phone to ring up to 15 times.  If there is no answer, they will call back to try again in about 15 minutes.  If there is still no answer (third attempt), they will call your designated emergency contacts.

How can I get temporary or permanent care if I need it?

Just ask… Fairfield Family Care has over 800 Home Health aides currently registered with us. We can usually have a qualified caregiver to your home within an hour. We have a 3 three hour minimum per visit. Please call our office for rates.
